2017 Africa Men’s Volleyball Championship: Cameroon sails through to the quarter-finals


The Senior Men National Volleyball team of Cameroon have defeated Nigeria by 3 sets to nothing in a group C second outing game at the ongoing Africa Men’s Volleyball Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

The Volleyball Lions humbled the Nigerian  team this Wednseday 24th October 2017 to qualify for the quarter-final stage of the championship.

The team exhebited professionalism throughout the game grabbing every opportunity and winning the three sets.
During the first set,Cameroon registered a 26-24 win and 25-20 in the second set.

The third and last rounds was marked by a high level of dominance and supremacy from the Lions (25-19). At the end, Cameroon migrated to the quarter-finals after an easy ride as the team conceeded no defeat in their two outings.

As the programe schedule indicates eight countries have sail through to the next stage of the competition.

The quarter-final matches to be fielded this Thurdays 26th October 2017 are as follows

-Egypt –Rwanda
-Algeria – DR Congo

Cameroon finished first in Group C with six points.
